Logline:
Xena faces ghosts from the past when she revisits one of her old haunts and ingratiates herself with murderous former "colleagues" in order to locate a kidnapped princess (Nicola Cliff) who is being hidden there.

This episode introduces us to Marcus, Xena's ex-lover. If I had to pick someone who I felt really belonged with Xena, Marcus is the guy.

The Path Not Taken is one of my favorite episodes from the first season. Marcus shows up again in Mortal Beloved.
