Logline:
The warrior princess finds herself in the midst of a volatile situation in this episode. With Gabrielle and Eve (Renee O'Connor, Adrienne Wilkinson) in tow, Xena (Lucy Lawless) travels through Amazon country to meet with Ares, who has requested her presence. On the way, they encounter Amazons battling Ares' soldiers and quickly become enmeshed in the conflict. Ares (Kevin Smith), meanwhile, plots to regain his divinity by stealing ambrosia from the Amazons during the attacks. But because of the Furies' own elaborate plan to avenge the deaths of the Olympians, the Xena who finally responds to Ares' call is not whom she appears to be.
